GOLD COAST DAY TEN

We had to get up at 4:30am as we were leaving at 5:30am to get to Brisbane airport by 7:30am. The plane was meant to leave at 9:30am but it was delayed until 10am. We had some breakfast in the food court with Elaine and David before going through the departure gates – mum and Elaine cried! The flight back was a bit boring as we didn’t have our own TV screens but I read my book Charlotte and the Starlit and played my Nintendo. Dad picked us up at Auckland Airport then later on we picked up Harry from his holiday programme at Onehunga.

My holiday was a fantastic experience and I would love to go back again. Next time I want to go to Wet ‘n’ Wild and I will force my mum to go on all the rides and get really, really wet! This time I had saved up $200 to take with me but next time I will save heaps more – maybe $800 if I can?!!!???

MY GOLD COAST HOLIDAY 7-16 JULY 2008

Sorry I haven’t blogged for a while. I’ve been away on holiday and this is what I’ve been up to!

GOLD COAST DAY ONE
The plane ride was good because we each had our own TV screens (I thought it was a touch screen at first) and could choose our own movies, games and TV programmes. We got a big surprise when we arrived at Brisbane Airport because Elaine and David were waiting right at the gate and took photos of me and Mum as we came out the door.

Elaine gave me a present in the car – it was some cool skates that you clip onto your shoes. We had lunch at Chermside (KFC) and I bought a Hamsterz Nintendo DS Lite game. I was wearing my skates at the shopping centre but I kept falling over so I took them off in the end. Mum spent heaps of money on clothes for herself! Then we went to Ikea, I waited in the car while Mum and Elaine went shopping. They said they were going to be 10 minutes but they were much longer! In the end me and David when inside because a magpie was annoying us and we had afternoon tea in the café. After that we drove home to Elaine and David’s house at the Isle of Palms in Elanora. I had my own room with a computer in it!
