Two Stars and a Wish
Star one – I learnt a cool new trick called the alpha tool in keynote and pages. You get to make the background disappear so that you can use a photo of a person and put it onto any other background.
Star two – I learnt lots about dinosaurs in a DVD called Walking with Dinosaurs. A comet crashed onto the earth – the light was so bright it blinded them and molten rock started flying down from the sky. So all the dinosaurs died.
Wish – I would like to learn more about dinosaurs. Next time we go to the library I can issue some books about dinosaurs to read.

Junk to Funk
This is the necklace I made out of some left over ribbons, some beads off an old hair tie and some paper clips which I bent. I wore it to my friend’s place and to the movies today when we saw Narnia: Prince Caspian!
My Pledge
I pledge that I will remind myself and my family to turn the lights off when no one is in the room.
My Reflection
Saturday – Lots of lights were on this morning. I was following my brother around turning off the lights, even the toilet light was on.
Sunday - I stayed at my friend Bethany’s place last night. Bethany sleeps with a light on so we didn’t save much electricity. When she fell asleep I turned the light off which was better. I couldn’t get to sleep with it on anyway.
Tuesday - When I went outside to go to school I noticed my bedroom light was on so I went back inside and turned it off.
Wednesday – After school today I went back up to my classroom to put the laptops away after the Digikids used them. I turned off the lights and the SMART Board data projector while I was there because the classroom was empty.
